Fancy wearing some gruesome make-up and jumping out at visitors at one of the county’s most popular attractions?
If you think you’ve got the fright factor then The Canterbury Tales wants to hear from you.
The city-centre attraction is looking for volunteer ‘plague victims’ to take part in its Terrible Tales event to mark Halloween. Ten ‘scarers’ are needed every night from October 25 to 31, though those who take part don’t need to commit to the whole run of performances.
The Terrible Tales puts a sinister slant on Chaucer’s classic tales with live horror performances in the church graveyard behind the attraction. Visitors will be taking a guided tour through the diseased streets of medieval England, where nasty surprises lurk.
The Terrible Tales are performed at 7.30pm from Friday 25 to Thursday 31 October. Admission to the spine-tingling event costs £7 per person (it is not suitable for under-12s). You can book your tickets online now!
