Modern pilgrims can revive their senses with a choice of morning coffee and homemade chocolate cookies, a cream tea or full afternoon tea at the hotel – either before or after their visit to the award-winning attraction. Prices range from £10.50 to £21.75 (with discounts for seniors), and include admission to The Canterbury Tales.
Also on offer is a special ‘Breakfast Club’ package. Group visitors will start their day at the BEST WESTERN Abbots Barton Hotel with coffee or tea and bacon sandwiches, before travelling into the city centre for a visit to The Canterbury Tales. This will be followed by either a walking tour of the cobbled streets with the Canterbury Audio Tour or a gentle voyage along the River Stour on the Canterbury Historic River Tour. The Canterbury Tales provides an excellent introduction to the historic cathedral city and its famous literary connection. It brings to life five of Geoffrey Chaucer’s best loved stories in a stunningly-accurate reconstruction of 14th century England. Set inside the former St Margaret’s Church, the attraction gives visitors the opportunity to step back in time and experience the sights, smells and sounds of medieval times.
